CALIFORNIA COMMITTEE OF BAR EXAMINERS – DO OVER FORM

if you are a registered law student with the Committee of Bar Examiners, you may request to be allowed to start your law studies over. You  understand that you will receive absolutely no credit for any law studies that you have completed prior to the date that you restart your law studies.

To obtain an official copy of your official transcript, please complete one request for each copy requested. Please include the mailing address for each copy.

MISDEMEANOR-FELONY DISCLOSURE STATEMENT

When applying for admission, the student also acknowledges that his/her eligibility to take the California General Bar Exam is entirely dependent on the decision of the Committee of Bar Examiners which is based entirely on a variety of factors including the type of criminal conviction(s) and the rehabilitation steps that the student has taken.

WITHDRAWAL PETITION

To submit your withdrawal petition, please briefly state the reason for your request. You must also physically date and sign your request. E-Signatures, are not acceptable. CANCELLATION REQUEST

A student who intends to cancel or withdraw must notify the law school in writing following the directions outlined in the law school catalog. Any money due the student will be refunded within 30 days. The student has a right to a full (100%) refund of all monies and fees paid except the application fee if a cancellation is received within seven (7) calendar days after midnight of the date the Enrollment Agreement was signed. STUDENT STUDY LOG TEMPLATE

American Institute of Law complies with all California Committee of Bar Examiner Regulations. All students are required to maintain and submit a completed log of their student study activities documenting their archived lecture attendance and school-related activities.

FOREIGN DEGREE EVALUATION

  • Students who have completed courses in foreign countries must have their course work evaluated by a California State Bar approved agency. Course work is offered entirely in English. An official copy of all transcripts or evaluations must be received by law school in a timely manner.
  • The following list of credential evaluation services has been compiled by the State Bar of California’s Committee of Bar Examiners (Committee). In order to be included on the list, the credential evaluation service must: 1) be a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services;2) require certified credentials; and 3) provide as part of each evaluation, complete information that includes courses, U.S. unit/hour equivalent, U.S. grade equivalent, and a summary of U.S. degree equivalent. The evaluations are considered advisory in nature and are not determinative relative to the credit that may be allowed for purposes of satisfying the pre-legal and/or legal education requirements necessary for qualification to register with the Committee, take the First-Year Law Students’ Examination and/or to take the California Bar Examination. This list is provided as a courtesy. The State Bar does not guarantee the quality of the services provided by any particular company and reserves the right to make changes to this list at any time without prior notice.
